the Titus-Ferguson Award

Fillauer Companies, Inc. is pleased to announce that Karl Fillauer will be presented the Titus-Ferguson award by the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists on March 17, 2011 at the Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

This lifetime achievement award is intended to be the highest level of recognition bestowed upon an outstanding Academician whose accomplishments and contributions have made a significant impact on the growth and development of the profession. This highly dedicated individual must have demonstrated a record of sustained devotion and leadership to the advancement of the Academy and the orthotics and prosthetics profession. The award is intended to be presented as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors to no more than one person per year.

Karl D. Fillauer, CPO, FAAOP is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for the Fillauer Companies, Inc. based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, comprised of ten partner companies in the US and Europe. Mr. Fillauer represents the third generation of his family to be involved with orthotics and prosthetics and is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker on a variety of topics. He remains active in patient care and travels extensively as an on-site clinical consultant.
